BİST'TE FAALİYET GÖSTEREN TAMAMLAYICI SEKTÖRLERE AİT İKİ ŞİRKETİN KARŞILAŞTIRMALI MALİ TABLOLARININ ANALİZİ: İNŞAAT VE ÇİMENTO ŞİRKETLERİ

Abstract

Günümüzde hemen hemen bütün sektörler doğrudan veya dolaylı olarak birbirini etkilemektedir. Herhangi bir sektörde meydana gelen daralmalar veya genişlemeler diğer sektörlerde aynı veya ters yönlü bir etki ortaya çıkarabilir. Sektörler incelenirken bağlantılı olduğu diğer sektörlerin gelişimleri göz ardı edilirse bu durum sektörlerin doğru analiz edilmesinde problemler doğurur ve yanılgılar ortaya çıkar. Bu tez borsada işlem gören bir inşaat ve çimento şirketlerinin 2017, 2018 ve 2019 yıllarına ait mali tablolarının incelenmesi içerir. Bunun sonucunda mali tablolar analizi yaparak bu sektörler hakkında genel bir kanıya varmayı ve aralarında ki ilişkiyi ortaya çıkarmayı hedeflemektedir. Bu sektörlerin birbirlerini etkileyip etkilemediği veya paralellik gösterip göstermediği incelenmiştir. Ayrıca şirketlerin bu dönemlerde ki istikrarı, ödeme gücü, faaliyetlerinin karlılığı ve sürdürülebilirlikleri hakkında bir yargıya varmak amaçlanmıştır. Bu tez genel olarak mali tablolar analizi ekseninde incelenmiştir. Bu tamamlayıcı iki farklı sektöre ait şirketlerin son üç yılda ki mali tablolarına karşılaştırmalı analiz, trend analizi, dikey analiz ve oran analizi uygulanmış ve bu son üç yılda ki değişimler yorumlanmıştır. Bu yorumlamalar sayesinde bu iki sektörün birbirini etkileyip etkilemediği ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Bu amaçlar doğrultusunda yapılan çalışma mali tablolar analizini daha derinlemesine kullanmaya ve daha etkin ve verimli analizler yaparak sektörler ve şirketler hakkında daha iyi tespitler sağlamaya imkân sağlamıştır. Bu imkanlar ayrıca bu sektörlerle ilgilenen iç ve dış kullanıcılara da faydalı bilgiler sunmaktadır. Bu bilgiler iç kullanıcılara bu bilgileri kullanarak aksaklıkların giderilmesi ve verimliliğin artması noktasında fayda sağlarken; dış kullanıcılara ise yatırım yapma kararlarında fayda sağlarlar.

Nowadays, almost all sectors affect each other directly or indirectly. Contractions or expansion in any sector may cause the same or opposite effect in other sectors. While examining the sectors, if the developments of the other sectors with which they are connected are ignored, this situation creates problems in the correct analysis of the sectors and mistakes occur. This thesis includes the examination of the financial statements of the construction and cement companies traded on the stock exchange for the years 2017, 2018 and 2019. As a result of this, it aims to reach a general conclusion about these sectors and reveal the relationship between them by analyzing financial statements. It has been examined whether these sectors affect each other and whether they show parallelism. In addition, it is aimed to make a judgment about the stability of the companies, solvency, profitability and sustainability of their activities during these periods. This thesis has been examined in terms of financial statements analysis in general. Comparative analysis, trend analysis, vertical analysis and ratio analysis were applied to the financial statements of companies belonging to these two complementary sectors in the last three years and the changes in these last three years were interpreted. Thanks to these interpretations, it revealed whether these two sectors affect each other or not. The study carried out in line with these purposes enabled to use the analysis of financial statements more deeply and to provide better determinations about sectors and companies by making more effective and efficient analyzes. These opportunities also provide useful information to internal and external users interested in these sectors. While this information is beneficial to internal users by using this information to eliminate problems and increase productivity; They benefit external users in their investment decisions.
