AKADEMİNİN SOSYAL İNŞASI, SINIFSALLIKLAR VE TOPLUMSAL YATKINLIKLAR: BAYBURT ÜNİVERSİTESİ ÖRNEĞİ

Abstract

Bu makale, akademik dünyamızın sosyolojik ritimlerini keşfetmeyi ve akademik kültürümüzün dinamiklerini anlamayı amaçlamaktadır. Bu çerçevede, Bayburt Üniversitesi akademik personelinden 30 akademisyenle derinlemesine görüşmeler yapılmış ve nitel bir çalışmanın verileri toplanmıştır. Çalışmanın kavramsal çerçevesinde ise Bourdieu, Freire ve Apple gibi eğitim sorunsalı üzerine kuramsal yaklaşım geliştiren yorumcuların analizlerinden yararlanılmıştır. Çalışma, akademik gerçekliğimize akademisyenlerin meslek pratikleri, akademisyenlik öncesindeki periyotlarda bilişsel ve duygusal inşa süreçleri ve aktörlerin akademisyenlik mesleğine atfettikleri anlam dünyasını, içerden bir bakışla betimlemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Çalışmada, üniversite yapılaşmamızın, mikro dünyalara yansımaları bizzat akademik failliğin gözünden kendi otantik bütünlüğü ve banalliğiyle/olduğu haliyle resmedilmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışmanın literatüre katkısı ise akademik gerçekliğimizin hem yapı hem de failllik düzeyindeki sorun alanlarını ortaya koymak ve çözüm önerileri çerçevesinde bir tartışma başlatmaktır.

This article aims to explore the sociological rhythms of our academic world and to understand the dynamics of our academic culture. In this context, in-depth interviews were conducted with 30 academics from Bayburt University academic staff and data from a qualitative study was collected. In the conceptual framework of the study, the analysis of commentators such as Bourdieu, Freire and Apple who developed a theoretical approach to the educational problem was used. The study aims to describe our academic reality with an insider's view of the professional practices of academics, the processes of cognitive and emotional construction in the periods before academia, and the world of meaning that actors attribute to the profession of academia. In the study, the reflections of our university structure on micro-worlds were tried to be portrayed with their authentic integrity and banality/as it is through the eyes of academic failure. The contribution of the study to the literature is to identify the problem areas of our academic reality at both the structure and level of activity and to start a discussion within the framework of solution proposals.
