TÜRKİYE'DE İŞSİZLİK VE COVID-19 İLİŞKİSİ

Abstract

Çin'in Wuhan kentinde ortaya çıkan ve hızla tüm dünyaya yayılan COVİD-19 virüsü, yalnızca insanların sağlıklarını değil, nerede ise tüm ekonomik ve sosyal hayatı da etkisi altına almıştır. Virüsün yayılım hızını engellemek amacı ile tüm devletler tarafından alınan tedbirler, finansal piyasaları negatif yönde etkilemiştir. Küresel ve ulusal üretim hacimleri daralmış ve sonuç olarak işsizlik bir sorun olarak karşımıza çıkmıştır. COVİD-19 her ne kadar bir sağlık krizi olarak baş göstermiş olsa da sonraki süreçte bir ekonomik krizi de beraberinde getirmiştir. Tüm ülkeler, COVİD-19 süresince ekonomik küçülme ve işsizlik problemleriyle mücadele etmek mecburiyetinde kalmıştır. Bu çalışmada, COVİD-19 salgın sürecinin Türkiye'nin işgücü piyasası üzerindeki etkileri teorik olarak değerlendirilmiştir.

The COVİD-19 virus, which emerged in Wuhan, China and spread rapidly all over the world, affected not only people's health, but also almost the entire economic and social life. The measures taken by all states to prevent the spread of the virus had a negative impact on financial markets. Global and national production volumes have shrunk and as a result, unemployment has emerged as a problem. Although COVİD-19 started as a health crisis, it also brought an economic crisis in the following period. All countries had to struggle with economic contraction and unemployment problems during the COVİD-19 period. In this study, the effects of the COVİD-19 epidemic process on Turkey's labor market were evaluated theoretically.
