REAKTİVİTE KONTROLLÜ SIKIŞTIRMA ATEŞLEMELİ MOTORLARDA OZON KULLANIMININ YANMA KONTROLÜ VE EGZOZ EMİSYONLARI ÜZERİNE ETKİLERİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

Hazırlanan bu çalışmada amaç, dizel motorlardan yayılan emisyonların verdiği zararları en aza indirmektir. Yapılan çalışmalar incelenip, RCCI konseptinin uygun olduğu görülmüştür. Bu tez çalışmasında ozon gazının RCCI motorlarda kullanımının etkileri deneysel olarak çalışılmıştır. Deneylerde tek silindirli dizel motor kullanılmıştır. Düşük reaktiviteli yakıtın kullanılması için, RCCI konseptine uygun bir şekilde, emme manifolduna port tipi yakıt enjektörü yerleştirilmiştir. Çalışmalarda HRF olarak dizel, LRF olarak izooktan kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın konusu olan ozon gazı bir ozon jeneratörü tarafından üretilip, emme portu üzerinden silindire gönderilmiştir. Aynı zamanda ozon jeneratörü bir oksijen tüpü tarafından saf oksijen ile beslenmiştir. Deneylerde motor devri 2400 d/d sabit tutulup, motor yükü ise %20, %40 ve %60 oranlarında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Her yük için ozon miktarı 0, 100, 200 ve 300 ppm olarak çalışılmıştır. Verilen tüm parametrelerde %15, %30 ve %45 RCCI oranlarında çalışılmıştır. Sonuçlar incelendiğinde, tüm yüklerde RCCI'nin kullanılmadığı deneylerde ozon miktarının artmasıyla CO emiyonunun azaldığı, LRF ve ozonun birlikte kullanılmasıyla arttığı, ancak %60 yükte hem RCCI hem de ozon kullanılmasıyla CO miktarında azalma olduğu görüşmüştür. Yine yapılan çalışmalarda LRF kullanımında HC emisyonunun arttığını ancak artan ozon oranları neticesinde HC emisyonlarının azaldığı gözlenmiştir. NO emisyonunun orta ve yüksek yüklerde hem ozon hem LRF kullanımıyla arttığı fakat %20 yükte LRF kullanımının NO emisyonunu azalttığı belirlenmiştir. Son olarak LRF oranının artmasıyla tüm yüklerde is emisyonunda azalma görülmüş olup, ozonun gerek LRF gerek ise LRF kullanımı olmadan is emisyonunu azaltmada etkili olduğu belirlenmiştir. Son olarak RCCI konsepti kullanılarak, belirgin şekilde silindir içinde düşük sıcaklıklı yanma sağlanmıştır.The purpose of the study prepared is to minimize the damages caused by the emissions from diesel engines. Studies have been examined and it has been seen that the RCCI concept is appropriate. In this thesis, the effects of using ozone gas in RCCI engines have been experimentally studied. A single cylinder diesel engine was used in the experiments. In order to use low reactivity fuel, a port type fuel injector is placed in the intake manifold in accordance with the RCCI concept. In the studies, diesel was used as HRF and isooctane as LRF. Ozone gas, the subject of the study, was produced by an ozone generator and sent to the cylinder through the suction port. At the same time, the ozone generator was fed with pure oxygen by an oxygen cylinder. In the experiments, the engine speed was kept constant at 2400 rpm and the engine load was realized at 20%, 40% and 60%. The amount of ozone for each load has been studied as 0, 100, 200 and 300 ppm. In all parameters, 15%, 30% and 45% RCCI ratios were studied. When the results are examined, it is seen that in the experiments where RCCI is not used in all loads, the CO emission decreases with the increase of the ozone amount, increases with the use of LRF and ozone together, but there is a decrease in the amount of CO with the use of both RCCI and ozone at 60% load. Again, in studies conducted, it was observed that HC emission increased in LRF use, but HC emissions decreased as a result of increasing ozone rates. It was determined that NO emission increased with the use of both ozone and LRF at medium and high loads, but the use of LRF at 20% load reduced NO emission. Finally, with the increase of LRF ratio, a decrease in soot emission was observed in all loads, and it was determined that ozone was effective in reducing soot emission without the use of LRF or LRF. Finally, by using the RCCI concept, low temperature combustion was achieved in the cylinder.
