İBN BÎBÎ'YE GÖRE SELÇUKLU DEVRİNDE ANADOLU VE SELÇUKLU ŞEHİRLERİ

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, Türkiye Selçuklu Devleti'nin en önemli kaynaklarından olan el-Evâmirü'l-Alâ´iyye fi'l-Umûri'l-Alâ´iyye adlı eser kapsamlı bir incelemeye tabi tutulmuştur. Eserin müellifi olan İbn Bîbî'nin Selçuklu sultanlarına dair kaleme aldığı betimleme ve övgüler mercek altına alınmış, dikkat çeken hususlar okuyucuya aktarılmıştır. Çalışmanın bir diğer ayağını ise Anadolu'daki yerleşim birimleri hakkında eserde geçen bilgilerin sınıflandırılması ve indekslenmesi oluşturmuştur. Bu doğrultuda, İbn Bîbî'nin olay anlatısı sırasında yer verdiği şehir ve kalelerin günümüzdeki karşılıkları belirlenmiş ve muhtasar bir şekilde açıklamaları yapılmıştır. Sonuç olarak, Türkiye Selçuklu Devleti'nin gerek devlet ve sultan mekanizmalarının anlamlandırılması gerekse de eserde bahsi geçen mekânların saptanması açısından kaleme alınan bu çalışma, Tarihî Coğrafya açısından oldukça önem arz etmektedir.

In this study, al-Aw?mir al-'Al?'iyya f? al-Um?ri al-'Al?'iyya, one of the most important sources of the Seljuk State of Turkey, has been subjected to a comprehensive analysis. The descriptions and praises of the Seljuk sultans written by Ibn B?b?, the author of the work, have been scrutinised and the salient points have been conveyed to the reader. Another pillar of the study is the classification and indexing of the information about the settlements in Anatolia. In this respect, the present-day equivalents of the cities and castles that Ibn B?b? mentions in his narrative have been identified and briefly explained. As a result, this study, which was written in terms of both making sense of the state and sultan mechanisms of the Seljuk State of Turkey and identifying the places mentioned in the work, is important in terms of Historical Geography.
