Moench), şeftali (Persica vulgaris Miller) ve vişne {Cerasus vulgaris Miller) bitkilerinin polen çimlenmesi ve tüp uzunluğunun araştırıldığı bu çalışmada; çimento fabrikasından 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500 ve 4000 (kontrol) metreden örnekler toplandı. Polenlerin çimlendirilmesinde Brewbaker and Kwack besiyeri kullanılmıştır. Polen çimlenmesi ve tüp uzunluğunda fabrikaya yaklaştıkça büyük azalmalar gözlendi. SUMMARY MASTER THESIS THE EFFECTS OF ELAZI? CEMENT FACTORY'S DUST ON POLLEN GERMINATION AND POLLEN TUBE LENGTH OF PLANTS Aykut TOPDEMİR Firat University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Science Deparment of Biology 2004, Page:26 In this research which has been done in order to examine the polen growth and tube elongation of pear ( Pyrus communis L.), quince (Cydonia oblanga Miller), apple (Mains sylvestris Miller), plum (Primus domestica L.), apricot (Primus armeniaca L.), cherry (Cerasus arivum (L.) Moench), peach (Persica vulgaris Miller) and sour (Cerasus vulgaris Miller) plants around the Elazığ Cement Factory and samples were collected 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500 and 4000 (control) metres away from the cement factory. Pollens were germinated in Brewbaker and Kwack culture solution. Greatest reduction in growth and tube elongation was observed in pollen samples to come near the cement factory.
