DEPREMİN KENTSEL ETKİLERİNE GENEL BİR BAKIŞ: İSTANBUL/BEYLİKDÜZÜ İLÇESİ ÖRNEĞİ

Abstract

Yerleşim yerlerinin afetlerden etkilenmeleri son zamanlarda az sayıda da olsa sosyal çalışmalarda ele alınan önemli konulardan birisidir. Bu yüksek lisans tezi çalışmasında, "Depremin Kentsel Etkilerine Genel Bir Bakış: İstanbul/Beylikdüzü İlçesi Örneği" konusu ele alınmış ve bu örnekle birlikte, afet sonrası Beylikdüzü ilçesinin kentsel yapılanmasına etki eden faktörlerin durum tespiti yapılmaya çalışılmıştır. Kimi insanların deneyimlediği, kimi insanların ise deneyimlemeden bile korktuğu deprem olayının sosyal, fiziki, psikolojik, ekonomik gibi pek çok etki boyutu olmuştur. Türkiye'nin aktif fay hatlarının bulunduğu alanda yer alması nedeniyle bu etkilerin en derinden hissedilmesi kaçınılmazken bir o kadar da tartışılması önemli görülmüştür. Çalışma, bir kaynak taraması içeriğinde yapılmıştır. Bu taramalarda; yazılı ve görsel malzemeler kullanılmıştır. İlçede yapılan gözlemler de yorumlamalarda etkili bir veri kaynağı oluşturmuştur. Çalışma, toplam 6 bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde; konuya giriş yapılarak orijinalliği ve önemi dile getirilmiştir. İkinci bölümde; araştırmanın metodolojisine değinilirken üçüncü bölümde ise araştırmanın kavramsal ve kuramsal çerçevesine değinilmiştir. Dördüncü bölümde; bazı kentlerin deprem deneyimleri özetlenmiştir. Beşinci bölümde ise Beylikdüzü' ne ilişkin bulgular değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular ve sonuç kısmında; Beylikdüzü ilçesi özelinden edinilen bilgiler, depremler sonrasında kentsel mekânlardaki durum tespitlerinin geleceğe yönelik planlamalarda ve afetlerin değişik aşamalarında kullanılabilecek önemli verilerle katkıda bulunulabileceğine işaret etmiştir. The impact of disasters on settlements is one of the important issues discussed in social studies, albeit in small numbers, recently. This master's thesis focused on " An Overview of the Urban Effects of the Earthquake: the Case of Istanbul/Beylikduzu District"subject. Beside this, through this case study, the affectting factors of the Beylikdüzü district's urban structure after the disaster are aimed to be explored. The earthquake event, which some people experience and some people fear even without experiencing, has had many impact dimensions such as social, physical, psychological and economical. Since Turkey is located in the area where active fault lines are located, it is inevitable that these effects will be felt most deeply, but it has been seen as important for the discussion. The study is based on a literature review. In these review; written and visual materials have been used. The observations made in the district has been other effective data source of the interpretation. The study consists of 6 sections. In the first chapter, the subject is introduced and its originality and importance are expressed. While the methodology process of the research is mentioned in the second part, the conceptual and theoretical framework of the research is mentioned in the third section. In the fourth chapter, the earthquake experiences of some cities are summarized. In the fifth chapter, the findings of Beylikdüzü were evaluated. The findings and conclusion parts pointed out that, on the base of Beylikdüzü district findings, the explorations of the situations in the urban spaces after earthquakes can contribute with important data that can be used in future planning and applications in these places for different stages of disasters.
