GÜLTEN DAYIOĞLU'NUN "GÖKYÜZÜNDEKİ MOR BULUTLAR" ESERİNİN SÖZ VARLIĞI AÇISINDAN İNCELENMESİ VE TÜRKÇE ÖĞRETİMİ BAKIMINDAN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Abstract

Dil, bir milletin zihninde var olan en önemli kültürel hazinedir. Bir dilin ortaya koyduğu ifade imkânlarından faydalanabilmek için o dilin söz varlığı ögelerini çok iyi bilmek gereklidir. Söz varlığı, bir dilde yer alan atasözleri, deyimler, ikilemeler, terimler, yabancı sözcükler, kalıplaşmış sözler, doldurma sözler, çeviri sözcükler, argo /kaba sözler ve kalıp (ilişki) sözler gibi ögeleri içeren bir kavramdır. Bu çalışmada Gülten Dayıoğlu'nun "Gökyüzündeki Mor Bulutlar" eserinin söz varlığı açısından incelenmesi ve Türkçe öğretimi bakımından değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla adı geçen eserde bulunan söz varlığı unsurları belirlenmiş ve bunların kullanım sıklıkları ortaya konmuştur. Bu çalışmada, eser incelenirken nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olan doküman incelemesi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Gülten Dayıoğlu'nun "Gökyüzündeki Mor Bulutlar" eserinin incelenmesi sonucunda, eserde söz varlığı ögelerinden en fazla yabancı sözcükler (%44.21) kullanılmıştır. İkinci sırada deyimler (%22.73), üçüncü sırada terimler (%15.05), dördüncü sırada ikilemeler (%13.89), beşinci sırada kalıp (ilişki) sözler (%3.47), altıncı sırada kalıplaşmış sözler ve argo /kaba sözler (%0.33) bulunmaktadır. İncelenen eserde yabancı sözcüklere, deyimlere, ikilemelere ve terimlere çok fazla yer verildiği görülmüştür. Özellikle deyimlerin sıkça kullanımı, çocukların kelime hazinesine katkı sağlayıcı niteliktedir. İncelenen eserde ikilemelere, terimlere ve kalıp sözlere de önemli ölçüde yer verilmiştir, ama deyimler ve yabancı sözcüklerin kullanımı kadar fazla değildir. Kalıplaşmış sözler ve argo/kaba sözler ise çok az miktarda tespit edilmiştir. Eserde atasözleri, çeviri sözcükler ve doldurma sözler ise tespit edilememiştir. Elde edilen bulgular incelendiğinde; eserin, ikilemeler, deyimler, terimler ve kalıp sözler, açısından Türkçe eğitiminde söz varlığını destekleyici ve zenginleştirici bir araç olarak kullanılabileceği düşünülmektedir. Yabancı sözcükler açısından değerlendirecek olursak; incelenen eserlerde Türkçeleşmiş dahi olsa yabancı sözcüklerin sayıca fazla olması Türkçe dersi için istenmeyen bir sonuçtur. Son olarak incelenen eserde herhangi bir atasözüne, doldurma söze ve çeviri sözcüğe rastlanılmamıştır. Atasözleri Türkçe dersi için çok büyük bir öneme sahipken incelenen eserde atasözlerine yer verilmemesi bir eksikliktir.

Language is the most important cultural treasure that exists in the mind of a nation. In order to benefit from the expression opportunities offered by a language, it is necessary to know the vocabulary elements of that language very well. Vocabulary is a concept that includes elements in a language such as proverbs, idioms, reduplications, terms, foreign words, formulaic words, filler words, translation words, slang / vulgar words and formulaic (relationship) words. In this study, it is aimed to examine Gülten Dayıoğlu's work "Purple Clouds in the Sky" in terms of vocabulary and evaluate it in terms of Turkish teaching. For this purpose, the vocabulary elements in the mentioned work were determined and their frequency of use was revealed. This study is a descriptive research in the form of a survey. In this study, the document analysis method, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used when examining the work. As a result of the examination of Gülten Dayıoğlu's work "Purple Clouds in the Sky", foreign words (44.21%) were used the most among the vocabulary items in the work. In second place are idioms (22.73%), in third place terms (15.05%), in fourth place reduplications (13.89%), in fifth place formulaic (relationship) words (3.47%), in sixth place formulaic words and slang. /rude words (0.33%). It was observed that foreign words, idioms, reduplications and terms were used extensively in the work examined. Especially the frequent use of idioms contributes to children's vocabulary. In the work examined, reduplications, terms and formulaic expressions are also included to a significant extent, but not as much as the use of idioms and foreign words. Stereotypes and slang/vulgar words were detected in very small amounts. Proverbs, translated words and filler words could not be identified in the work. When the findings are examined; It is thought that the work can be used as a tool to support and enrich the vocabulary in Turkish education in terms of reduplications, idioms, terms and formulaic expressions. If we evaluate it in terms of foreign words, it has been seen that the works examined mostly contain foreign words, even if they have been translated into Turkish. This is an outcome that teachers do not want. In this respect, it is not considered appropriate to use the relevant works as source texts in textbooks because they have a high number of foreign words. Finally, no proverbs, filler words or translation words were found in the work examined. While proverbs are of great importance for Turkish lessons, it is a deficiency that proverbs are not included in the work examined.
